Fit & Size
Fit & Size Our boomerang silk pillowcase is shaped to fit V-shaped and boomerang pillows snugly, so the silk sits smooth with no bunching or slipping. Dimensions Length (tip to tip): 70 cm Centre: 40 cm Width of each arm: 30 cm Will it fit my pillow? Lay your pillow flat and measure it tip to tip, through the centre, and across one arm. If it’s within a centimetre or two of these measurements, it will fit beautifully. Silk has a gentle drape, so a slightly smaller pillow will still sit neatly inside. It fits most standard boomerang and V-shaped pillows, including our ZenNest™ silk-filled boomerang pillow. Not sure about your pillow? Send us its measurements and we’ll check the fit for you.
Fabric & Care
The Material: Why 22 Momme Mulberry Silk What is mulberry silk? Mulberry silk comes from silkworms raised on a diet of mulberry leaves. It’s the finest and most sought-after silk in the world, with long, smooth, uniform fibres that give it its signature softness and lustre. It’s a natural protein fibre, made by nature rather than in a lab, with no plastic or synthetic blends. What does grade 6A mean? Silk is graded by fibre quality, from C up to A, and 6A is the highest grade available. These are the longest, strongest and most even fibres, which means a smoother surface, a more consistent colour and silk that holds up to years of use. What does 22 momme mean? Momme (pronounced “mommy”) measures silk’s weight and density, much like thread count does for cotton. Most silk pillowcases are 16–19 momme. At 22 momme, ours has more silk in every square centimetre, which gives you: A richer, more luxurious feel against your skin A softer, heavier drape that sits beautifully on the pillow Greater durability, so it stays smooth and lustrous wash after wash Why silk, not satin? Satin is a weave, not a fibre, and most satin pillowcases are polyester, a plastic-based fabric. It can look shiny, but it doesn’t breathe like silk, can trap heat, and feels slippery rather than soft. Real mulberry silk is natural, breathable and temperature-regulating, so it feels cool on warm nights and comfortable in winter. Why it’s better for your skin and hair Smooth surface: your face and hair glide rather than drag, meaning fewer sleep creases and less frizz and breakage. Less absorbent than cotton: your skincare stays on your skin and your hair keeps more of its natural moisture. Gentle on sensitive skin: silk’s smooth, natural fibres feel soft and calm against your face all night. Natural, breathable and made to last, it’s the material your nightly ritual deserves.Fabric & Care Fabric 100% grade 6A mulberry silk, 22 momme Designed for boomerang and V-shaped pillows Zip closure keeps your pillow secure and the silk smooth all night At 22 momme, our silk is heavier and denser than the standard 16–19 momme found in most silk pillowcases. That means a richer feel, a softer drape and a longer life. Care Hand wash cold or machine wash on a delicate cycle (30°C max), inside a mesh laundry bag Use a pH-neutral or silk-specific detergent Turn inside out and close the zip before washing No bleach or fabric softener Hang to dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight Do not tumble dry If needed, iron on the reverse side on a low silk setting Silk is a natural fibre, so gentle care keeps it soft and lustrous for years.

Good questions, before a good night’s sleep
Why choose a silk-filled pillow over down or polyester?
Mulberry silk fibre is naturally breathable and temperature regulating, so it keeps you cool in summer and cosy in winter. Unlike polyester, it’s a natural fibre rather than plastic and doesn’t trap heat. Unlike down, it has no feathers or quills, and it’s naturally hypoallergenic, so it’s a gentle choice for sensitive skin and allergy sufferers.
Which shape is right for me?
Choose the boomerang if you sleep on your side. Its curved shape cradles your head and neck, makes room for your shoulder and gives you something to hug. It’s also lovely for reading in bed. Choose the classic shape if you sleep on your back or switch positions through the night and want a traditional pillow with the benefits of silk.
Which fill should I choose?
- 1000g: a lower, softer loft for petite frames or anyone who prefers a flatter pillow
- 1500g: balanced support and our most popular choice, ideal for most side and back sleepers
- 2000g: a fuller, firmer feel for broader shoulders or extra support
How do I care for my silk-filled pillow?
Your silk pillowcase can be gently hand-washed or machine-washed on a delicate cycle in a laundry bag, in cool water with a pH-neutral detergent. The silk-filled pillow itself shouldn’t be washed. Spot clean it if needed, and air it out regularly in a shaded, breezy spot to keep it fresh and lofty.
Will it go flat? How long will it last?
Long, fine mulberry silk fibres hold their shape far better than polyester fill, which tends to clump and flatten within a year or two. With regular airing and a gentle shake to redistribute the fill, your pillow will stay soft and supportive for years. Every pillow is handmade to order in small batches, so it arrives freshly filled.
