Crafted from 22 momme 100% mulberry silk in our standard flat pillowcase shape (51cm × 66cm), this is a clean zip-closure pillowcase that fits all standard pillows and delivers the same premium silk quality found across our full collection.

The ultra-smooth silk surface creates minimal friction against your skin and hair as you move during sleep — a noticeable step up from traditional cotton pillowcases. Silk is naturally non-absorbent, meaning your overnight skincare stays on your face rather than soaking into the fabric. What size is it, and will it fit my pillow?

Our standard pillowcase measures 51 × 66 cm and fits standard pillows. A hidden zip keeps your pillow neatly inside. Some colours also come in a larger 51 × 76 cm size. Not sure? Email hello@sleepygirl.com.au with your pillow's measurements and we'll check the fit.
Standard or boomerang: which should I choose?

Choose standard if you sleep on a regular rectangular pillow. If you use a V-shaped or boomerang pillow, choose our Boomerang pillowcase. It's cut to follow the curve, so it doesn't bunch or slip off.
What's the difference between silk and satin?

Satin is a weave, not a fibre, and most satin pillowcases are made from polyester, which is a plastic. Ours is 100% natural mulberry silk: softer, more breathable and smoother on your skin and hair.
What does 22 momme mean?

Momme measures how dense silk is. Most silk pillowcases are 16 to 19 momme. Ours are 22 momme, so there's more silk in every thread, and you'll feel it in the weight, the drape and how long it lasts.
How do I wash my silk pillowcase?

Turn it inside out and hand wash in cool water, or machine wash on a gentle cycle (30°C max) in a mesh laundry bag, with a pH-neutral or silk detergent. No bleach or fabric softener. Dry flat or hang in the shade, never in the dryer.

NIce but...

I purchased: Double Layered Silk Turban Bonnet - square style, the product is lovely although if you have lots of hair it may not be for you. Sleepygirls' online presence is so much more lux than the overall delivery and presentation of the product. A plain brown board box with no branding, no info card or product care arrives with your product. The only brand presence was a cheap sticker on the tissue paper. It was a no-thrills, no-frills unboxing experience. I think they can do a little better in this area for the customer experience.

I am sorry, but what??

I bought this becaouse i was just curious how the silk fibre feels like - fully intending to return it later (i am sorry), 450 for pillow sounded crazy. I cant return it, i love it too much. The silk fibre feels so much better than polyester and i am allergic to dust, this has been game changer ! I even ordered one custom standard size for my doughter and cant wait to get it. Honestly i see it as investment in health. Good job Sleepy girl, i will be definitly be ordering more and i love, you can do any custom orders.
